Hamed Tavana, a 37 year-old Iranian painter graduated from University of Art,Tehran, in 1992.
My thesis is titled "The Functions of Painting in Schizophrenic Patients". Since then, I have focused my studies on psychological aspects of figurative painting, specially bisexual nudes in metamorphosed and malformed gestures, in some symbolic-abstract backgrounds.
Hermitage. Solitude. Non-Existence. Death. Disease. Decomposition with Time. Rudeness. Weight of Body. Pain. A Body of Flesh and Mind. Contempt. Inability and Impotence. Demolition. Emotional Castration. Non-Existence Fear. Anything that is Irrecoverable. Reflection and Transmission of these in everything that has surrounded us.
If these are the things that I think, have I been able to translate my thoughts into pictures and words?
