Biography

Carolyn Tann Starr (born 1965), professionally known as "Wordy C" and "Tann Starr" is an American writer, producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and fine artist.

Her discography includes Get Active, The Chocolate House, Zetherael, Stingray, Bounce It Baby, Poppy D and Drum.

She is a member and founder of the band UberMental, an American old school hip hop and alternative rock band formed in New York City April 2009. Her most popular genres are Jazz, Neo-Soul, Singer-Songwriter and Alternative Rock. She has crossed multiple genres throughout her career, collaborating with Alicia Anderson, Michael and Christopher Zackschewski, Candice A. Donofrio, Michael Starr, Jessica Rebecca Klein and Cheryl Johnson.

The artist enjoys working with learning disabled children to teach them music is math, music is self expression and music is painting with sound. As a fine artist represented by the Ward Nasse Gallery (NY) she has created mixed media portraits of artists including Jessica Rebecca Klein and Angelina Jolie.
