ARTIST'S STATEMENT:

EVER SINCE MY PARSEE DRAWING TEACHER AT ST. ANTHONY'S HIGH SCHOOL TOLD ME THAT I MUST RECOGNISE THIS TALENT I HAVE IN DRAWING AND OF MY ABILITY IN SELCTION OF COLORS. THE PROCESS OF EXPLORING THE WORLD OF ART BY READING ABOUT ART HISTORYAND VISITING MUSEUMS HAD BEGUN.

THIS INDULGENCE BROUGHT ME TO RECOGNISE THE VARIETY OF ART AND HOW WELL REPRESENTED IT IS. I ALSO INDULDGE IN PLEASING MYSELF WITH THE SPLENDOR OF NATURE FOR IT IS THROUGH NATURE THAT WE DEVELOPE OUR VISUAL DATA RELATED TO SHAPE AND COLOR. I HAVE FOUND THAT EVERY THING NATURE AND OUR OWN CONSTRUCTED IDEAS HAS TO OFER IS BASED UPON THE USE OF LINES AND CIRCLES (CURVES BEING PART CIRCLE). IN FACT IT WAS ONES ABILITY TO DRAW GOOD STRAIGHT LINES AND ALMOST PERFECT CIRCLES THAT MY TEACHER TOLD ME WAS THE INDICTIVE OF A PERSONS CONTROL OVER HIS OR HER VISUAL CONCEPTIONS. ONES EXPERIENCES MAY PLAY A ROLE IN ONES EXPRESSION OF ART IT SELF. MY AMBITIONS IN ART BROUGHT ME TO A TURNING POINT WHEN I JOINED THE, "ART STUDENT LEAGUE OF NEW YORK" I HAVE GREATLY BENEFITTED FROM THAT INSTITUTION AND MY INSTRUCTOR FRANK O"CAIN WHO TAUGHT ME USE OF SPACE AND INTESITY OF COLORS.

I PRESENT THESE FEW PAINTINGS FOR YOUR PLEASURE.
