An artist living and working in Santa Barbara, California, Ms Noble 's work is represented in many collections. She has exhibited at Ward Nasse for several years now.
Helen Noble, educated at Wayne State University and Western Reserve University, began serious art study with her father, etcher George C. Harper. Further encouraged by art teacher Nora Southwell, Helen continued her studies, finally enrolling in the Santa Barbara Art Institute. There she took a printmaking class taught by Ronald Robertson, who had studied in Japan. The opportunity to view and study original prints by contemporary Japanese artists led to a period of independent study and experimentation. During this time she began to develop her own style of expression in the print medium. Helen has exhibited widely, and is represented in numerous private collections.
