My style of painting is varied; my paintings range from realistic to abstract. My colors tend toward the bold and I prefer to mix watercolor on the paper, which makes the color more immediate and unrehearsed.
I incorporate ink in the same way I use watercolor; since the colors are pure pigment, the boldness of color is different than that of traditional watercolors.
J. K. Dimond has been juried into various shows in the Washington D.C. area, the Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit in NYC and also at Ward-Nasse Gallery in Soho.
She has had one person shows in McLean, Virginia, Cox Communications in Northern Virginia, and the Holley Gallery in Annapolis, Maryland.
