January 29 - February 22, 1997
Opening Reception: Friday January 31, 6-8pm
Show curated by Fiona Hamer.
Open to all artists, any media / style provided that the works are devoid of disguise or concealment and capture the natural state of being. Naked is not only figuratively human... A review with the curator or submission of slides is necessary. The curator has the final say in both the number and placement of the works in the exhibit.
THE TECHNOLUTION OF OUR SPECIES HAS SEPARATED US FROM OUR NATURAL ORIGIN. Why is it that we feel least comfortable in our natural state; is the truth too close to the bone? The show tries to re-address the preconceptionof naked regardless of social taboo to reveal an organic comfortability with naked in all it's interpretations.
